You have up to 4 weeks to complete the online course.
When you are finished with the online course you will take your proctored USCG Approved final exam at one of our approved locations. Upon successful completion of the final exam in-person, you will receive a course Certificate of Training that is valid for 1 year to be submitted to the USCG.
Class Requirements
THERE ARE SEA TIME REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ENDORSEMENT:
You must document at least 180 days of sea time on a sail or auxiliary sail vessel in order to obtain this endorsement on a Master Inland or Mate Near Coastal license.
You must document at least 360 days of sea time on a sail or auxiliary sail vessel in order to obtain this endorsement on a Master Near Coastal license.
You must document at least 180 days of sea time on a sail or auxiliary sail vessel in order to obtain this endorsement on a Master Inland or Mate Near Coastal license.
You must document at least 360 days of sea time on a sail or auxiliary sail vessel in order to obtain this endorsement on a Master Near Coastal license.
Once enrolled, you will receive access to the Online Portal within 2-3 business days via email.
Training Certificate of Completion
Any applicant who has successfully completed your Auxiliary Sail (MARINS-45) course within one year of application will satisfy: The examination requirements of 46 CFR 11.201(j) to add an Auxiliary Sail endorsement under 46 CFR 11.401(d) to any national deck officer endorsement authorized by regulation.
