Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and/or replaces electronic equipment onboard vessels
Documents and maintains status history of electronic systems
Coordinates with government personnel for maintenance/upgrades of government systems
Provides updates for configuration management documents as needed
Other duties as assigned
Compensation: 20.98/hr
Requirements –
3 Years of experience with high voltage industrial electricity with capabilities of troubleshooting marine equipment. Lock Out Tag Out qualified.
5 Years of Maritime experience on marine motors and electrical equipment on board vessels with the capabilities of troubleshooting AC/DC components. Common knowledge in high voltage electricity and the practices of safely handling high voltage equipment. Familiar with the navy’s Lock Out Tag Out procedures and Naval Facilities (NAVFAC’s) Electrical Safe procedures.
USCG Merchant Mariner Document endorsed as Wiper
Must be eligible to possess a final U.S. Government Secret security clearance level
Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
