Online Course Enrollment Agreement

ENROLLMENT AGREEMENT (ONLINE COURSES)
This enrollment agreement (“Agreement”) is a legally binding instrument between you (“Student”) and Training Resources Limited, Inc. (“TRLMI”). By registering for a course at TRLMI, you agree that you have read, understand, and agree to the terms and conditions set forth herein. Upon request, you will be provided a copy of this Agreement.
Many courses that TRLMI offers have prerequisites set by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) that must be met to receive the credential or endorsement you are seeking. You agree that you understand and meet (or will meet) the prerequisites at the time you start the course.
TRLMI online courses that are approved by the USCG must be completed within a set time frame beginning when TRLMI emails you your course access details (“Start Date”). This time frame is established by the USCG and includes two deadlines: (1) time provided by TRLMI for you to complete the online course (“Course Access”) and (2) in-person examination(s) that must be completed no later than ninety (90) days after Course Access has expired. You agree that you have given yourself adequate time to complete both deadlines. TRLMI is unable to give extensions for Course Access nor make exceptions.
NON-REFUNDABLE REGISTRATION DEPOSIT
At the time of course registration (“Registration Date”) you will be charged the full cost of the online course (“Course Cost”) which includes a $100 non-refundable fee (“Deposit”). There is a 24-hour grace period from the time of your enrollment: if you notify TRLMI within 24 hours after enrolling in a course that you request cancellation, you will be considered for a refund.
REFUND POLICY AND COURSE CANCELLATION
If you cancel your course registration, you may request a refund of the Course Cost minus the amount of the Deposit. Refund eligibility is determined by the Start Date and Course Access. For all online courses, refund requests must be submitted no later than seven (7) calendar days after the Start Date. Refunds will only be considered for students who have completed less than 10% of the online course. To request a refund, you must send an email to info@TRLMI.com.
In lieu of a refund, you may request to transfer your registration in the online course to a classroom course. Eligibility for transferring to a classroom course is the same as eligibility for refund requests. If approved, you will be charged the difference between the cost of the online course on the Registration Date and the cost of the classroom course at the time you request the transfer. Transfer to a classroom course is based on scheduling and available seats.
Although this Agreement is for online courses, should you transfer to a classroom course or when taking an examination at TRLMI facilities, the following conduct is not permitted while at TRLMI facilities. Their violation is grounds for immediate removal without refund of any kind.
While taking a TRLMI course, you may be provided instructional material authored or copyrighted by TRLMI or others. You may not reproduce such material without written permission of the author.
