Quartermaster Chief, USN (Ret) joined Maritime Training Institute in January 2014, after retiring from his U.S. Navy career of 24 years, including 16.5 years of sea duty having serve on 7 different warship platforms. Chuck’s last two sea tours USS James E. Williams (DDG-95) and USS Whidbey (LSD-41) Where he held the positions of Navigation Officer, Assistant Navigator and Anti-Terrorism Watch Officer.
Chuck’s area of expertise is in the License Preparation Courses for all tonnage levels and endorsements. Focusing on preparing mariners for the mandatory testing requirements for their next license and tonnage levels from a national pilot license to Chief Mate/Master unlimited license.
Chuck is Global Wind Organization instructor qualified to teach Basic Safety Training (BST), Advanced Recue Training (ART) and Combined Space Entry & Rescue (CSER) preparing students to enter the ever-growing wind energy program.
