Our Deck Career Advancement Program is for students who desire assistance in preparing for the Deck license exams. It encompasses multi-faceted training methods which include; hands-on training in full mission Simulator, Deck Officer Illustration review, quizzes, and practice examinations. Hands-on training allows students to reinforce classroom training through practical application. The illustration reviews are designed to help the student to interpret USCG illustrations. Periodic quizzes are given to perform knowledge checks on instruction and to prepare the student for the exams. Practice exams will be given at the completion of each module to assess student’s strengths and weaknesses.

It is highly recommended that students gain USCG approval to sit for Second Mate/Third Mate exams prior to attending the course. Additionally, students should consider scheduling exams immediately following completion of training from our deck career advancement program.
