Larry joined Maritime Institute in 2013 as an Engineering Instructor.  Having retired after 24 years of United States Naval service, he brings many years of engineering experience with him.  As a Master Training Specialist, he has trained hundreds of engineering students throughout his tour at the Center for Naval Engineering.  His shipboard tours include the USS Sylvania AFS 2, USS L.Y. Spear AS 36, USS Harry S. Truman CVN 75, USS Carl Vinson CVN 70, and USS Enterprise CVN 65.

Larry earned an associate’s degree in Applied Marine Engineering from Coastline Community College and earned a BS degree in Vocational Technical Education and Curriculum development from Southern Illinois University.

Larry hails from Uniontown, PA but has called Virginia his home for the past 30 years.  He enjoys spending time with his family and friends camping and playing sports.
