We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Qualified Member of Engine Department (QMED). In this role, you will play a vital part in the efficient and safe operation of the ship’s engine department. As a QMED you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning of various engine room equipment and systems.

Qualifications

Valid Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with a Qualified Member of Engine Department (QMED) endorsement.

Able Seafarer-Engine

Personal Survival Craft

Basic Training

STCW Rating Forming Part of an Engineering Watch (RFPEW)

Engine room experience on sea-going vessels.

Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical systems.
Ability to work effectively in a team and follow orders from superiors.
Physical fitness and the ability to work in demanding, physically challenging conditions.
