Aundra Lewis QMC USN (RET), joined Maritime Institute in May 2021. He is an instructor for ECDIS Navigation system, ARPA Radar, Able Seaman, Proficiency in Survival Craft, Personal Survival Techniques and various courses throughout the institute. Aundra served in the U.S Navy for 23 years, performing various navigation and deck department roles onboard USS Oak Hill (LSD-51), USS Gunston Hall (LSD-44), Assault Craft Unit Two, USS James E Williams (DDG-95) and Afloat Training Group Norfolk. He earned his Master Training Specialist qualification and Afloat Training Specialist while serving as the lead Navigation training assessor at Afloat Training Group Norfolk. Aundra is a native of South Carolina. He enjoys playing basketball, watching sports, listening to music, and spending time with his lovely family.
