Ronald M. Benion was born in New Orleans, La. He is the youngest of 8 children.

He is the father of six wonderful children and eight grandchildren. He is married to Glenda A. Benion of Norfolk, Va.

He is a retired Navy Veteran having served over 22 plus years in the Navy as a Damage Controlman. He retired at the rank of E7/ Chief Petty Officer.

He joined Maritime Institute in 2018 and he enjoys instructing and teaching with a passion.

His interests are Church, family, basketball, Free Masonry, and most importantly serving and doing God’s will.

His Motto is “Leading from the front and set the Example for others to Follow”.
