Course Description
The BOAT U.S. Foundation Modules 1-4 follow the curriculum of the National Safe Boating Council (NSBC). This On-Water Training Program is a fun, easy, and affordable way to develop and improve your boating skills. Whether you love boating and want to gain confidence at the helm, you’re considering buying or renting a boat and want to learn the basics, or you’re just curious about boating, this BOAT U.S. Foundation On-Water Training Program offers courses that will meet your needs and help you reach your goals. The BOAT U.S. Foundation is partnering with marinas, boat shows, and other organizations around the country to bring On-Water Training to a marina near you!
BOAT U.S. Foundation On-Water Training Program modules:
Module 1: INTRODUCTION TO POWERBOATING
Module 2: PRECISION DOCKING AND BOAT HANDLING
Module 3: OPEN WATER BOAT HANDLING
Module 4: OPEN WATER ADVANCED MANEUVERS
- 3 - 4 Students per boat
- Taught by USCG Licensed Captains
- 3 hours on-water training

BOAT U.S. Foundation manages all registrations and payment for these modules. The classes taught in San Diego are instructed by our Maritime Institute's professional licensed Captains.
