Balboa Yacht Services in Newport Beach is looking for a full time technician to assist with boat and yacht maintenance and service. The position is independent contractor and starts with approximately 35 hours per week. Must be able to commute to Newport Beach and must have transportation to take you to our clients’ boats. Must be available Monday through Friday. This is an intermediate-to-advanced position that requires extensive experience with boats and yachts. Pay rate is between $25/hr and $45/hr, with room for advancement.

Some examples of the type of work that we do:
1. Replacing small sections of wiring
2. Replacing broken bilge pumps/galley pumps
3. Cleaning exterior of the boat
4. Cleaning interior of boat
5. Installing new equipment (bbq grills, rod holders, antennas, etc)
6. Replacing burnt light bulbs
7. Re-sealing leaking areas of the boat
8. Inspecting the boat for maintenance issues, leaks, etc
9. Replacing boat batteries
10. Replacing/installing stereos and speakers
11. Troubleshooting 12volt/24volt electrical systems
12. Full inspections of all systems on boats ranging from 35ft to 90ft.
