City Experiences is seeking a 100 Ton Captain for our Marine Operations in San Diego.
About You:
This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.
About the Opportunity:
Main duty of a Full Time Captain will be to work as a Captain in the San Diego port. A Full Time Captain will also assist with administrative duties, such as hiring and recruiting and help with safety officer duties as directed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Main duty working as a Captain on charters, IDCs and remotes
Provide training to new and existing Captains, First Officers and Deckhands
Prepare for COIs
Help with developing and enforcing safety policy and work with Industry Safe
Assist in payroll and other office duties as needed
Work with Wheelhouse and conduct routine maintenance
Recruit, interview and hire crew for Operations
Participate in the execution of the Safety Program, including emergency drills
Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
100 GT Merchant Mariner Credential with satisfactory record, Near Coastal preferred.
Strong boat handling skills
TWIC
CPR certified
Team player and have ability to work independently
Grooming:
All crew members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available in the Employee Handbook).
Physical Demands:
Ability to bend, rotate and reach frequently
Ascending/descending stairs or ladders safely
Ability to maneuver through/in/around small and/or confined areas within the vessel
Must be able to maintain both static and dynamic standing balance to complete various duties associated with job
Must be capable of performing emergency duties as listed in the vessel’s station bill
Work Environment:
The majority of work is performed in a Marine environment in both indoor and outdoor conditions with exposure to various temperatures and weather conditions, along with a moderate to loud noise level.
