Position: Assembly Technician

Pay: $25+/hour (DOE)

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Shift: 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm

Location: Carlsbad, CA

General Job Description

– Knowledge of marine jet propulsion systems

– Knowledge of marine electrical systems

– Knowledge of boat steering systems.

– Testing the performance of marine engines and electrical systems

– Ability to assemble machinery from blueprints, sketches, or description of parts

– Basic machining skills – experience running Lathe, mill, band saw, welding

– Basic machine assembly skills – drill/tap, layout, basic hand tools and small power tools.

– Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined space

Responsibilities Include

– Experience in identifying mechanical components; and to perform required mechanical and final machine assembly for schedule requirements

– Familiar with manufacturing processes, machine shop practices, and assembly methods

– Familiar with drilling, tapping, layouts of holes, and other basic assembly functions

– Ability to read and understand engineering documents (blueprints, drawings, schematics, BOM, and manufacturing process instructions)

– Ability to analyze component construction, measuring, identifying materials and documenting designs

– Must maintain a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

– Possesses a positive “can-do” attitude, works effectively, demonstrates persistence and moves consistently towards goals, solid work ethic that results in consistent accomplishment, and dependability

– Ability to work effectively in a team environment

– Excellent English written and verbal communications skills

– Ability to use hand tools, power tools (both electric and pneumatic), and precision tools.

– Work entails reaching, pulling, standing most of the shift, stooping, and must be able to lift 50 lbs.

– Performs other related duties as assigned

– An individual with mechanical experience with jet skis

– Someone who was a service technician at a power sports dealership that sells jet skis

– Someone with direct experience with Rotax Marine Engine and/or BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products) water crafts
