Ceasar Salas, CWO, USN (Ret), joined Maritime Institute after serving over 20 years in the Navy leading the engineering departments on several vessels. Back on shore, Ceasar was the Officer In Charge of the Center for Naval Engineering, Expeditionary Warfare Group Pacific, leading the Small Diesel Engine Overhaul School, where he became certified as a Master Training Specialist.
At Maritime Institute, Ceaser is an instructor in our engineering department. He teaches a number of our courses, including Engine Room Resource Management, Management of Electrical and Electronic Control Equipment, QMED Reefer Electrician, Able Seafarer Engine, Fireman Oiler Water Tender and Rating Forming Part of an Engineering Watch. Additionally, Ceasar has been instrumental in helping to develop our Boater Education Series classes on Marine Electrical, Marine Diesel and Marine Outboard engines. When he is not at work, his hobbies include swimming and biking.
