Shaun Sparks began his welding career in the shipyards of Southern California in 1993. He quickly advanced to gaining certifications as a Code, Shell welder, also becoming a pipe certified welder. Sean later worked in the aerospace industry as a Welding Technologist, for 9 yrs, before returning to the shipbuilding industry as a Government Contractor for the Navy.

Shaun started instructing in January 2024. Teaching welding processes including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW-g, FCAW-s, and GTAW.
