Shereda Shelley QMC USN (RET), joined Maritime Institute in August 2024. She is an instructor for ECDIS Navigation system, ARPA, Radar Observer Unlimited, Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities, Rating Forming Part of Navigation Watch and various courses throughout the institute. Shereda served in the U.S. Navy for 21 years, performing various navigation roles onboard USS Grasp (ARS 51), USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69), USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) and USS San Antonio (LPD 17). She earned her Master Facilitator Specialist qualification while serving at Naval Leadership & Ethics Command (NLEC) Dam, Neck Virginia. She attained her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Saint Leo University. She is a native of North Carolina. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, watching documentaries, and spending time with her 3 children.
