ADVANCED FIRE FIGHTING REFRESHER

Maritime Institute's USCG approved Advanced Fire Fighting Refresher 16-hour course meets the standards required by STCW 2010, as amended and examines Fire Fighting techniques and control of Fire Fighting operations with emphasis on organization, tactics, and command functions including onboard crew training and drills.
Student must currently hold or previously have held STCW Advanced Fire Fighting (A-IV/3) endorsement in order to use this Refresher course to renew their credential. Any applicant who has successfully completed your Advanced Fire Fighting Refresher (MARINS-697) course will satisfy: The Advanced Fire Fighting continued standards of competence required by 46 CFR 11.303(e) for mariners who have previously held an Advanced Fire Fighting endorsement under STCW Code Section A-VI/3 but cannot meet the requirement for 1 year of sea service in last 5 years; STCW Code Section A-VI/3 and Table A-VI/3, as amended 2010, meeting the National Assessment Guidelines from NVIC 09-14(Ch-1), all Tasks. Applicants who have successfully completed your course need not present completed “Task Control Sheets” for these assessments in application for STCW certification.
