Welding Instructor
We have an immediate opening for a Welding Instructor who is experienced, skilled and proficient in the following processes:
- SMAW
- GMAW/MiG
- FCAW
- GTAW/TiG
The candidate must be proficient in Flat, Horizontal, Vertical and Overhead positions with E6010/11 and E7018 Electrodes as well as GMAW and FCAW. The ability to train students to weld 5454 Aluminum with MiG and TiG to ABS/AWS standards is a requirement Additionally, experience as a level II inspector is desired. Experience with NAVSEA and AWS welding procedures and certification process is highly desired. AWS Certifications and an AWS Certified Welding Instructor certification is required.
Machine tool proficiency with Engine Lathes, Vertical Mills and industrial and handheld power tools is a plus!
The candidate must be a team player, excellent people skills and be capable of teaching to a wide-ranging audience including varied skill levels from novice to experienced.
This is a part time position that may grow into a full-time position based upon course load, instructor qualifications and teaching ability.
The candidate must also be proficient in using Oxy-Fuel cutting rigs and plasma cutting torches.

Salary: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour
