GWO BASIC TECHNICAL TRAINING

Course Description
Upon completion of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Technical Training (BTT), participants will possess an awareness of the hazards encountered when working on hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and installation systems, and how to control and mitigate these hazards, preparing candidates for working both on and offshore in the wind power industry.
The GWO Basic Technical Training is divided into the following three modules:
- Hydraulic – BTTH – No Expiration
- Mechanical – BTTM – No Expiration
- Electrical – BTTE – No Expiration
Class Requirements
- Course Length: 4 days
- Minimum Class Size: 2
- Maximum Class Size: 8
- Minimum Age: 18
Prerequisites: Participants will be in good health and physically capable of fully taking part in all course activities. Valid GWO BST module Working at Heights, GWO First aid and GWO Manual Handling certificates are prerequisites for participation. Furthermore, Course Participants shall have created a personal Course Participant profile in WINDA and provide their own WINDA ID prior to completing the training. Students MUST bring work clothes suitable for working in an industrial environment, work boots and photo ID. All other equipment will be provided.
Certification: Course certificate(s) and credit in the GWO WINDA Database.
